2.5 MW wind turbines

MAPNA Group is the biggest and most sophisticated manufacturer of Gas/Steam Turbines and different types of generators in Iran. The sum of their domestic projects for the last ten years is over € 30 billion. It is just a few years since they have started investing in renewable energy and since the very beginning, DAD Group has been right beside them to help. DAD's extensive experience in complex industrial solutions and its strong record convinced MAPNA to assign them for some of their procurement management especially for the composite materials needed for making of the blades and other composite parts.

The Subjected wind turbines are designed by Aerodyne and are equipped with the latest innovations in the wind technology. These massive technological marvels have blades that are over 50 meters long and All made of composite materials. DAD Group is supplying the raw materials including fabrics and resins for the composite parts and also the core materials for the inside structure of the blades.

We are focused on: finding the best quality suppliers and at the same time we are looking for partners who would be interested in moving some of the manufacturing to Iran and our own workshops. As we believe this industry is young in our country, we know that establishing these business relationships in this stage is the most essential part of the job.

Diesel overhaul

DAD is a very strong name when it comes to overhauling complicated and massive diesel engines in Iran.

Iranian key clients who own many ships and require heavy maintenance and overhaul operations are very picky when it comes down to choosing a partner.

We have proved our technical and operational expertise and also we have managed to craft our unique financial solutions to overcome the obstacles that might cause problems when cooperating with foreign partners.

Spare Parts and Special Tools

In DAD, we have worked with so many different types and brands of engines, such various clients and locations that we claim there are no massive diesel engines (especially in marine and rail applications) that we cannot supply its spare parts and special toolings.

Also we can provide data sheets, manual books and maintenance documentation for most types of marine and rail diesel engines. Genuine and OEM parts, depending on our clients need will be provided with the best competitive prices.

We are well known in Iran and have a good customer base, we are mainly looking for partners in Europe who can provide original spares and tools for big brands (MTU, MAK, CAT, MAN, Deutz, Pielstik, Wartzila, etc)

Composite materials

Currently we are the main supplier of resin and e-glass fiber for making of the composite parts in Iranian Wind Energy market.

We have established sound relationships with Aerodyne approved vendors in raw materials field.

We are moving towards doing more of the fabrication in house. We will still import resin and fabrics but we will be doing the vacuum infusion too.

Core materials

We are currently working on making the kits in Iran and cutting the balsa and foams for the core of the blades.

Right now we are in contact with few companies who make the kits worldwide and we are studying the economic feasibility of making the kits in Iran. so far, the signs are very promising.

Manufacturing

Wind energy is an industry that requires some sort of support at least in the initial stages. Islamic Republic of Iran, has implemented a few strategies in order to support this industry and help it grow. They are buying the electricity generated by wind, for a better price that they buy electricity generated by fossil fuels. They have also invested significantly to buy wind turbines from domestic clients.

These big "power plant" makers, now each have contracts of making 100-300 MW with wind turbines. some of them have started importing complete turbines and some of them are trying to make parts of it in Iran.

Any how, we believe there is no other private sector company in Iran that has our knowledge and history in this field. Right now we are importing raw and processed materials for these major clients, but we are studying the situation carefully in order to move parts of manufacturing inside Iran, since shipment and labor costs are very significant in this business, we are sure that our investment is wise and well placed.

Companies with experience of manufacturing blades and other composite parts of the turbine, such as hub and nacelle covers are welcomed to contact us. We are sure there is room for a lot of works. From vacuum infusion process and materials and equipment to making of the molds, all the documentations and tech specs and also test procedures and certifications; all are interesting to us.
